# מכון אמנות הסת"ם (Machon Omanut HaStam)

Rav Yohai Ohayon is a certified sofer STa"m (Jewish ritual scribe), a teacher of STa"m writing, batim (tefillin box) closing and strap tying, and the author of the book "Yesodot HaTefilin" (Foundations of Tefillin). He founded and directs Machon Omanut HaStam ("The Art of STa'M Institute"), which teaches small groups (up to ~5 students) how to become sofrim STa"m: writing mezuzot, tefillin and Sifrei Torah to a high halachic standard, with personal guidance from first letter to certification.
